Active holiday makers will like the gym and the wellness area. Lanzarote offers some excellent day trips. Renting a car is simple and everything on the island is within easy reach. The Timanfaya National Park (35km) comes highly recommended; it's a stunning, volcanic area, which you can explore by bus or on a (guided) walk. If you're going in that direction anyway, don't miss the opportunity to take the La Geria wine route back, between Uga and Mozaga. The vines are cultivated in a special way and you can of course stop at one of the bodegas to taste some wine and buy a bottle to enjoy on your balcony!
