A delightful thatched cottage in the quiet village of Osmington is the perfect place to appreciate the tranquillity of the Dorset countryside. With lots of space the whole family will be able to spread out and make the most of their holiday and with lots to see and do in the local area everyone will be happy. The seaside town of Weymouth with its long sandy beach Victorian esplanade and variety of attractions is well worth a visit. Or why not head 11 miles east to the rock arch Durdle Door and walk along the stunning beach at the horseshoe-shaped Lulworth Cove in the village of West Lulworth with its selection of cafes pubs and shops. You can enter this property via the steps from the village lane up to the front door or via the level access at the rear that leads to the back door. Entering through the front door you will find yourself in a small hallway with the spacious double aspect lounge on your left. With its light walls cool palette and warm woods this room is well-lit and spacious. On cooler evenings you can light the gas log-effect fire to create a cosy feel. There are French doors leading from the lounge into a modest conservatory which allows guests to relax whilst looking out to the garden. Osmington is a quaint Dorset village close to the seaside and 5 miles from the popular resort of Weymouth. Less than 1 mile from the cottage Osmington Bay beach is within easy reach rewarding visitors with a large pebbly beach and blue sea. Or enjoy a stroll to the pub located 1.5 miles away and pour over the local menu. Further up the coast the iconic Durdle Door is only a 10-mile drive and a must for anyone in the area whether you are making a quick pitstop or spending the whole day. Coming in through the front door your eye will immediately be drawn to the period stone fireplace with fantastic detailing where a functioning wood burner now makes itself at home. Facing the lounge area the wood burner is not only an attractive feature but a truly atmospheric addition in winter as it throws a rosy glow across the room. Flop on the sofa with one of the many books provided or inhale the hot wisps of steam from a freshly brewed cuppa.
