The cottage is surrounded by beautiful woodland and is just a short distance from the RSPB nature reserve at Arne popularised by the BBC s Autumnwatch and Winterwatch programmes and perfect for bird enthusiasts. A variety of walks are marked towards the coast at Shipstal Point. Arne has a Saxon church while the local town of Wareham has a good range of pubs restaurants and shops. There s also the opportunity to take a boat trip around Poole Harbour. The pretty village of Corfe Castle with its eponymous castle ruins is just a short drive away. This delightful cottage is located on a tranquil no-through lane in the quaint village of Osmington. Ideally situated for access to the plethora of coastal walks available along Dorset s Jurassic Coast it is also conveniently located to visit the famous White Horse on the South Dorset Downs. The White Horse is a hill figure cut into limestone and is said to have been created in 1808 in honour of King George III. The cottage is entered from the rear garden through a porch into a hall with ample space for coats and boots so that you don t have to travel through the house with muddy boots after a country walk. There is a wonderful beamed double aspect kitchen/dining room with a beautiful handcrafted kitchen and traditional oak worktops. All modern conveniences can be found in the kitchen along with some period features including an original bread oven and inglenook which houses the family dining table. The sitting room has yet more period features with exposed stone walls and oak floors. The log burner provides a cosy feel and you can imagine curling up on the comfortable sofa with a good book in the cooler evenings.
