This large stone cottage originally two houses and now converted into one large space is set in the most breath-taking countryside next to the River Breamsish on the Harehope Estate. Perfect for walkers and cyclists it is also perfectly situated to visit local historical attractions as well as the pretty villages and coastal towns of the area. The garden gate of the property leads through to the pretty riverside where you can enjoy an evening stroll and there is a variety of footpaths cycle paths and bridle paths to explore from the cottage. Located in a beautiful peaceful hamlet only three miles from Eglingham and Chatton you are also only a fifteen-minute drive from Alnwick with its famous castle and gardens. The property has two lounge areas on the ground floor one with an open fire comfortable sofas Smart TV and dual aspect windows and the other with a wood burning stove. A fully-equipped kitchen has facilities including an electric range cooker a large American-style fridge/freezer microwave and dishwasher. There is also a wood burning stove perfect for cold days. On entering this delightful and cosy cottage built for the Archdeacon of Lindisfarne in 1706 and retaining several original features you will find yourself in the pretty and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Tastefully furnished with plenty of comfy seating TV DVD and a traditional wood burner the light and airy lounge is an ideal space to relax in after a fantastic day exploring this beautiful area. Just across from this lovely cottage you can enjoy walks on the beach with your dog take a picnic and choose a spot next to the dunes. You can watch the local fisherman putting out their lobster and crab pots ready for the incoming tide and admire the distinctive blue fishing boats known as Cobles used to this day for the daily catch. As well as the village pub there is a small quirky art gallery which may take your fancy. Boulmer is on the 200 mile Coast and Castle Cycle Route so you can bring your bikes and head off for a day exploring a little of the route. Alnmouth s beach lovely village shops and panoramic golf course are only a short drive Craster Village known for its scenic coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle is slightly further afield.
