As a general rule, hot tub guidance is that the maximum safe amount of time to soak in a hot tub will be 15 minutes in 104° F (40° C) water and up to 30 minutes if the water temperature is between 95-100° F. However, the ambient air temperature or alcohol consumption can shorten those times. Hot tub usage is also only recommended for children over the age of twelve years.
