Hire a boat on the Brecon and Monmouth Canal. You can fish in the canal or rivers some may be subject to gaining a fishing licence. The Wye too is a fine river but further afield. The whole area is studded with archaeological remains from past centuries including romantic castles and ancient settlements. If you do not feel energetic you can sit and look at the nearby river trees fields and many species of birds that live in them. Comfortable and beautifully decorated the cottage is very welcoming. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob microwave dishwasher and fridge. The dining table seats six people. The utility room off the kitchen has a washing machine tumble dryer freezer and a useful sink with a door to outside. There is also a downstairs cloakroom with toilet and wash basin. The cosy sitting room has a sofa and chairs and a wood burner. On warm days open the French doors to the patio and garden to enjoy the glorious views. There is a smart TV with Freeview channels and access to the internet. The master bedroom has a super king-size bed (which can be converted to two singles) and an en-suite shower room.
