GREEN CREDENTIALS: The huts are off grid and fitted with solar panels and wind turbines as well as having wood fired heating and cooking facilities. Eco friendly products are provided for cleaning and washing up too. There is no phone signal directly by the huts, although a short walk up the lane will find signal for most networks. ACCESS: As the huts are off grid to get to them you will need to walk down a track from the dedicated parking area. As the track is steep we recommend bringing bags that are easy to carry however a wheelbarrow is provided to make transporting your things a little easier. This semi rural cottage enjoys a lovely location on the Gower Peninsula and yet is just five miles from Swansea city centre where visitors can enjoy the city s wide range of shops restaurants or visit the 12th century castle. The Mumbles makes a great place for a day trip with its Victorian pier seafront eateries and traditional craft workshops. Seaside lovers will find themselves spoilt for choice as the area is awash with wide sandy beaches secluded bays and picturesque rocky coves. Of course the area s most well-known son was the poet Dylan Thomas and those with an interest in the literary heritage can follow in his footsteps perhaps by taking a visit to his birthplace in the Swansea suburbs or travelling a little further afield to the Laugharne to the secluded boathouse where he wrote many of his best-loved poems.
