Chepstow is a traditional market town within a short drive steeped in history and where you can explore the castle or relax within the castle grounds or enjoy the many restaurants pubs and local shops. The peaceful village of Tintern famed for the ruins of Tintern Abbey and books is perfect for a lazy afternoon tea. For the more adventurous The National Diving and Activity Centre is also nearby where you can enjoy zip wire rides water walking and fly boarding as well as diving for all abilities. The Forest of Dean is within easy reach with activities such as the Sculpture trail at Beechenhurst Woods Go Ape climbing centre and Puzzlewood where many TV shows and films such As Harry Potter and Star Wars have been made. Pony trekking can be arranged in the Llanthony Valley nearby offering anything from an hour to a day on the hill. Other attractions in the area in Aber-Rocks an indoor climbing centre in Abergavenny. Shepherds hut ONE offers Living/kitchen/dining/sleeping area: with woodburner/oven (logs included) sofa/day bed suitable for 1 small child and TV. Main sleeping area has a double cabin bed. Kitchen area with gas hob and fridge with ice compartment. Shepherds hut TWO offers sleeping area: with woodburner (logs included) TV/DVD bunk beds (which can convert into a sofa). A John Deere 4x4 off-road vehicle is a free optional extra with the rental it enables you to park right outside the huts in all weathers.
