Bellwald is located in the Rhône valley and originally was an old farmers' village. Most of its authentic character has been preserved. There are twelve picturesque villages in the Rhône valley, which are characterised by the typical wooden chalets, tainted dark by the sun and the wind. There are various excellent restaurants in the villages. The Aletsch-area offers good opportunities for skiers and snowboarders and there is a special training slope for children. The trained skiers will find true challenges in the area under the Steibenkreuz. Until mid-April you can enjoy the extensive skiing facilities, despite the sunny location in the South-West. There is a funpark for snowboarders and a snowboard school in Bellwald. The ski area also offers approx. 100 km of well maintained langlauf loipes. There is no skibus but you can ski directly from Hotel Edelweiß (500m). In summer, Bellwald and the area offer a fabulous walking area to their guests. Also visit one of the crystal clear mountain lakes in summer and feast your eyes on the magnificent views on the high mountain tops. The cable car takes you to altitudes of 2500 m. And how does a day shopping in Milan sound ? This is also perfectly possible from Bellwald. In short, a holiday in Bellwald offers all the ingredients for a lovely holiday in the mountains!

Heiligkreuz lies in a side valley of the Binntal. Its is an hamlet which is situated in a beautiful surroundings. Here you can take numerous nice walks. On the end of Binntal lies im Feld, here is a gemstone mine where you can cut out your own gems. For excursions you can go to Fiesch and Brig. A visit to the famous Aletschgletscher of course may not be missed. Chalet Saflischgarten is very peacefully situated in the hamlet Heiligkreuz. It is a perfect destination for the rest seekers and walking lovers who love special but simple holiday houses. You reach the chalet through a walking path of approx. 150 metres. The interior is simple but of a good standard. In the livingroom you find a 4-pers. bunk bed. You have access to a terrace with a sitting section and a small garden. Straight from the chalet you can start many beautiful walks.

The interior is nicely furnished and finished with a lot of wood. From the house you can walk straight into the mountains. You will be staying Wallis, where it's sunny 300 days a year, directly under the Bettmeralp and the Riederalp; the Binntal is around the corner and within an hour you can be at the foot of the mighty Aletschgletcher or in the train to Zermatt, with a view of the Matterhorn as your reward! You can park in the street and walk about 100 metres over an unpaved road (not steep). The first time you can drive the car all the way up to unload your luggage.

The Riederalp, as the name implies, is a mountain. It is just above the village of Morel and eight kilometres east of the town of Brig. The Ramona House is on top of the Riederalp and just a five minute walk from the gondola station. Please park at the bottom at CHF 7.00 per day and take your luggage on the Riederalpbahn. There is an area of outstanding natural beauty waiting for you at the top. You can enjoy superb exhilarating walks there. There is also a nine-hole golf course, shops, a wellness hotel with a swimming pool, a tourist office and a bank. The house is in a beautiful, south-facing position. There are two identical holiday homes. One is on the first floor and the other is on the second floor. They both have south-facing balconies. The holiday homes are very well kept, attractively furnished and have a charming wooden decor. You can ski from the house to the ski-slope and back in winter. Bister is a small village in the middle of the Aletsch area. The friendly Brig lies at only 12 km. distance. On the outskirts of Bister lies chalet Apendruh. The detached chalet is deliciously quiet situated on an altitude of 950 m.. You occupy the ground floor and the 1st floor, the total living surface amounts 50 m. The interior is simple but of a good standard. From the terrace or balconyt you have a fantastic view at the surrounding mountians. Mörel is situated 8 km. south west of Brig, at the foot of the Riederalp, in the famous Aletsch area. It is a small holiday village from which you can take the gondola to Riederalp. A beautiful walking area where you can walk for days and enjoy the stunning surroundings. House Giltstein stands just outside the village centre of Mörel.
