This small natural house was built in traditional stone in the style of the barns of the Limousin region. It has a stylish country interior yet has all the modern comforts you may need. It is located nearby the Dordogne river, on top of the Xaintrie plateau in the south of the Corrèze departement. A wonderful place where you can still find true tranquility. On an average day, no more than a few cars pass by. You'll only hear the sounds of nature : a breeze blowing through the trees, a buzzing fly, an owl or a deer calling in the woods. At night, this place is totally dark; look up at the sky and be amazed by the number of stars. Hence the name of our home "La grange des mille étoiles". This is a perfect place to relax and unwind. A few kilometres away, you'll find Auriac, a cute village bordering a lake with swimming facilities. Les Jardins de Sothys, with its botanical gardens, is situated on the shore of the lake. There a plenty of opportunities for either a quiet or an active holiday. Follow the Dordogne river downwards and visit the charming town of Argenat, dive into the Middle Ages at the Tours de Merle or in Salers, discover the local gastronomy in one of the many restaurants or just let this lesser-known part of France surprise you with its beautiful scenery and purest air quality. A little bit further away, you can see Les Monts du Cantal, where you can visit the extinct volcanoes of the Auvergne in summer and go skiing in the skiing area of Le Lioran in winter.

This holiday home was fully renovated and refurbished with great care by the Dutch owners in 2016. It's been equipped with all modern comforts and it has two lovely gardens with large linden trees, which create some nice shady areas and a wonderful scent in summer. The new kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher and a washing machine. Everything you may need to cook a delicious meal and eat at a nicely-set table is at your disposal. The pleasant living room offers a view of the front garden and has French doors opening onto to the back garden. The house can accommodate 5 people, but no more than 4 adults. At 2.5 km, you'll find the little village of Champsac, which has a bakery, a butcher's and a bar/restaurant. The town of Chalus, where you can find a supermarket, bank, doctor, market etc., is 7 km away. At 15 km distance, there's a lake with a beach and various activities including a zip wire, accrobranche, and velo-rail. There are plenty of nice, weekly markets to visit in the area. The largest, and most well-known, is Piegut Pluviers, which is 30 km away.
