Skillfully-renovated, lovely, detached holiday home with fantastic views from its terraces. Here you'll look out onto the gorgeous saltwater swimming pool and over the hills and forests. The renovations were clearly done with love: check out the original wood floors and exposed beam ceilings. The house is located on a large, 6000 meter estate and lies at the terminus of a dirt road. You'll enjoy total privacy in the peace and quiet here. There are plenty of opportunities for long, lovely strolls. One of these routes, the so-called "Circuit de Bonneval," runs right alongside your home. The large Lac de Vassivière (30 km) is heaven on earth for those who love the water. Comfortable, renovated vacation home from 1792. During the renovation an old water well was discovered in the garden, it has been restored and enclosed. The stylish interior is determined partly by the old elements of the house, such as the wood beam ceiling. The large enclosed garden has a heatable private pool. You find yourself in the small hamlet of "Le Galateau". You can bike or stroll along many small brooks and lakes (four bikes are at your disposal). Some of them you can go swim in, such as at Fursanne (13 km) or the large lake of St. Pardoux (30 km) where you can also do lots of other water sports. At the lakes of Chamborand and Vielleville (both at 10 km) you can go fishing. Bakery and supermarket are at Marsac (2 km), restaurant in St. Etienne-de-Fursac (5 km). A couple of times a week, the baker comes by. In the cozy medieval town of La Souterraine (25 km) you'll find restaurants, a market, lovely terraces and shops. The Romanesque Abbey of Bénévent (8 km) is famous for being on the pilgrim route to St. Jacques de Compostella.

Segur-le-Chateau is a beautiful village with a population of less than two hundred.
