  • "Great place, they’ve thought of every little detail from kitchen utensils to games and more !"

    Very comfortable beds and sofa. We saw lots of wildlife, in the garden, and it is near some wildlife reserves where we saw herons nesting. Would definitely come back!!

  • "The lodge is in a great location at the top of the hosts beautiful garden."

    The lodge had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was lovely and hot. Falling asleep with the flickering of the log burner was just wonderful. Our two girls had a lovely time and keep asking to go back to the holiday house. Thank you Alex and Neal

  • "What a wonderful weekend getaway!"

    ! Accommodation was perfect and the log burner made it very comfortable and warm. The eclectic decor is done really well and everything about the lodge is superb. Nice and private in very peaceful surroundings. Alex and Neal are perfect hosts and readily available if necessary. Thank you. (The homemade shortbread when we arrived was delicious and a really nice touch)

This space is also home to a dining table, ideal for hearty meals, and a plush sitting area resting beside a characterful woodburning stove.

Here there is a double bed for you to settle down for the night in and, accessible via a ladder into the eves, nestled beneath the wooden beams on a quirky mezzanine level, there is a twin (zip/link) room which can be set up as a super-king-size on request; both are serviced by a sleek shower room.

Situated in amongst the trees, with a backdrop of leaves and countryside, the decking is a simply dreamy spot to indulge in a glass of your favourite beverage, throwing open the patio doors to take in the last of the sunshine - perhaps even catching a glimpse of the local owls.

Before setting off for a day of exploring, you can find hearty breakfasts locally at The Kitchen at Bow Wharf, The Bridge or The Parrett Deli.

The ancient market town of Langport lies at the heart of the Somerset levels, at the crossing point of the River Parrett, mid-way between the county town of Taunton and Yeovil. Its central location makes it a thriving hub for local villages and an ideal base to explore the surrounding area, as well as the Somerset Levels, one of England’s most unchanged Landscapes. The ancient beauty and diverse wildlife of the area makes it one of the landscapes that have inspired many artists and photographers as well as drawing visitors from all over the world. The surrounding countryside teeming with pretty villages and quiet country lanes with footpaths and cycle trails to explore the picturesque Somerset Levels. Somerset is rich in wildlife and is one of the country’s top areas for birdwatching. It also offers a heritage railway, where visitors can take a trip on longest standard gauge line in the country.
