  • "Our stay was absolutely fabulous!"

The lodge was beautiful, well equipped and the owner went the extra mile by providing a welcome pack and some little extras for our dog too. We felt extremely relaxed during our stay and we even had some snow on our last day which made the scenery even more magical. We will be back to stay here again!

  • "Lovely lodge very clean and everything you could ask for."

Plenty of walks for your furry friends. Would highly recommend.

  • "Lovely property for a short break."

Suited me perfectly seeking some solitude. Everything I needed was supplied and more. Would suggest more for cleaning the kitchen / bathroom areas. Would definitely consider returning in the future.

Thank you Colin for your feedback. We keep a selection of cleaning equipment under the kitchen sink, I'm sorry if it wasn't what you were looking for. As I take care of all the cleaning myself, between rentals, I don't expect guests to do more than a minimum tidy- up when they leave. I appreciate it very much that you did however, and thank you for leaving it all spotless Property Owner

  • "We were surprised by the fabulous locally sourced welcome pack and our dog “Tay” was impressed she had her very own welcome gift!"

The lodge was as advertised, spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need for your stay and more (our only suggestion would be perhaps a boot box outside at door) we felt guilty taking our wellies in to the lodge. Thank you

  • "Well stocked with crockery etc."

-perhaps too much as every cupboard in kitchen was full, therefore nowhere to keep groceries. Spotlessly clean and well maintained.

  • "This is a lovely property which is beautiful furnished and spotlessly clean."

Everything you could possibly need is provided including a welcome pack of coffee, bread, butter, biscuits etc. The views from the veranda are stunning and it is very peaceful. The only very slight negatives are poor wifi and humming noise from next door’s hot tub. However this did not interfere with our enjoyment of the property. Would definitely recommend.

  • "The stay was really good, only issue that we had was that there was not enough binbags, considering everything else was provided such as dishwasher tablets, washing machine detergent, I would think there was going to be at least 1 extra bag."

Also I would recommend having a booklet of instructions for the gas oven as we were quite confused how to use it and also how to turn the heating on, at night time it was far too cold and had to layer for my baby. Other than that, everything was great, great for wanting to just sit back and relax and enjoy the views.

  • "We were delighted to stay at the Saorsa in St Fillans."

The accommodation was absolutely beautiful with a stunning view out to the mountains and village. It was so peaceful listening to that birds and we really appreciated the small touches provided by the host such as, the delicious bread, fresh ground coffee, homemade jam, butter and milk! The classy interior created a warm and cosy space to settle in for a few days, plus everything was absolutely spotless! The kitchen was well equipped with all utensils, crockery and facilities to cook and a great fridge freezer to store food. The host even added that small touch of providing a range of seasonings, Olive oil, salt and pepper etc. The bedrooms were very chic and comfortable!! Our little one enjoyed having her own room with plenty of space to play. We enjoyed the Scrabble game which gave us that family quality time much needed. The property was perfect and Iona was a lovely host who was available if needed. We would recommend visiting the local walk through the St Fillans which gives you a wonderful view of Loch Earn. The Birks of Aberfeldy was a brilliant day out which was around an hour drive , the waterfalls and scenic views gave us the naturistic experience we needed. Loch Tay was also lovely about an hour from Aberfeldy, lots of people were participating in Watersports. On our last day we visited Edinburgh which was 1.5 hour away from the property, definitely worth a visit the Fringe Festival on. We were able to view Edinburgh Castle, Ross Fountain, The National Gallery and of course Scotland's smallest pub. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to visit again. Thank you Iona.

  • "The property was spotless and had everything you would need."

The wraparound decking with table and chairs would be a great place to relax on a nice day/evening. Some nice decor touches and feels homely. Has a full cooker with oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and a lot more. Walking distance to village store and 2 or 3 places to eat. We did not make use of them on this visit. The owner looks after this lodge and we enjoyed our short stay.
