  • "Although the house was on the top surface clean, it really needs a deep clean, under surfaces, behind and onto of units very dirty and dusty."

The hot tub was great but we supplied our own gazebo and for April it was needed. There was no welcome pack so had to ring the number provided to get WiFi code, very responsive when called. Location is quiet but what we wanted, local pub food very good. No local shop, you have to hornsea. We had a lovely weekend.

  • "Lovely house, well proportioned."

Loved that we could all eat and socialise in the kitchen diner and also enjoy relaxing time together in the lounge. The hot tub was a bonus particularly liked by grandson and grandma!! Bedrooms were well proportioned, clean and functional.

  • "Lovely cottage everything needed was available."

Hot tub was bonus. Short walk across road for local pub which did lovely meals. Quiet scenic village with nice walks

  • "Fantastic cottage with almost everything we needed."

Beautiful location, great little pub across the way and only a few minutes drive to Tesco to pick up the essentials. We had a nice little walk to the cliffs, despite the weather! Beds were very comfortable and lots of blankets and pillows for everyone for a comfortable stay. Well equipped kitchen (aside from the fridge) and garden was secure for our Labrador. Hot tub was a great touch. Only 2 small niggles really that could be easily rectified for future stays - 1) I had requested to Sykes that there be no feathers in the property as I have a severe allergy but the cushions downstairs were feather (easily rectified as my son doesn’t share my allergy so we hid them under his bed but please take allergies seriously in future as if we hadn’t found them I could have ended up in A&E with severe breathing issues), 2) the fridge is far too small for a property advertised for 8 people. I would definitely recommend Cherry Tree cottage for anyone wanted a bit of an escape

  • "I was really impressed with the facilities and equipment at Cherry Tree Cottage."

(I took certain things with us not expecting them to be provided). It was clean, comfortable, and spacious; it didn’t feel crowded with 7 of us there. I would highly recommend this property, and would like to return. A bigger fridge for the Prosecco would be nice! :)

Hi Anita. Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the American fridge freezer is away for repair. We hope to see you again. Property Owner

  • "Amazing stay, beautiful house and facilities."

Very comfortable beds in fact it was a home from home, couldn’t have asked for anything more. (Just one criticism the steps to the back door could have done with a rail to hold onto) we went as a family get together and definitely wasn’t disappointed. Lovely village setting with a great pub across the road.

  • "We are back from a week long family holiday at Cherry Tree Cottage and could not be more pleased."

Firstly, the cottage is in a brilliant location. A great base for travelling to different places such as Hornsea and Bridlington. This village itself is very quiet, but that’s just how we like it. The cottage is beautiful. It is obvious a lot of time and care has been taken into making this such a lovely home from home. The kitchen is brilliant with all the different equipment and utensils you could need, which is not always the case in a holiday home! The bedrooms were all a great size. We were a family of 5 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for everyone. The garden is lovely and the hot tub was an added bonus! We met one of the owners Nick who was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. There was a hamper left for us on arrival which was a lovely touch. All in all we do not have a bad word to say about Cherry Tree Cottage and we look forward to booking another stay here in the future!
