  • "Great house for events."

Lots of space, en-suites in every room. Basement area great for entertaining. WiFi worked. Nice location where everything was walkable.

  • "The property is a great size, there were 14 of us and plenty of space."

10 minute walk into Bowness so ideally situated. Great wood burner but no logs available, luckily we brought our own. Huge dining table which seated us all easily and was great for my sons 30th birthday dinner

Thank you for taking the time to provide us your feedback. As the property is self catering, logs are not provided as standard. We are glad that you enjoyed the property and had a lovely birthday celebration. Lakelovers Owner Relations Property Owner

  • "This house was amazing."

Can I just say the photos do not do justice for how gorgeous this house actually is. We had the best time with multiple people saying “best weekend of my life” and honestly thank you! Memories for life made in this house it was incredible. Only issue was we didn’t have enough bin bags provided so luckily we did have lots of carrier bags to use and we couldn’t find the recycling bins to recycle our waste. Once again though thank you for such a fab house!

  • "We selected the property as we were a large group of couples and wanting double or equivalent beds in a location mid way between Bowness and Windermere with parking."

That’s exactly what we got! I’d arranged an early check in for 2pm knowing the property hadn’t been occupied the days leading up to our arrival. We’d made good time so pulled into the driveway just as the inspection team were just leaving. They told us that they weren’t happy with the clean and said we’d have to go with the 4pm time as they needed to arrange for a cleaner to revisit the property. Additionally they hadn’t been informed about the early check in. It was disappointing as this was a surprise trip for my husband and he wasn’t aware of the other guests attending. We accessed the property to take food to the kitchen then left and returned after 4pm. We were very impressed with the property, the location, what the property had to offer. The communal spaces were great and spacious for the 12 of us. What we hadn’t been notified is that despite the heating being on that the radiators were turned off. So a number of us had a cold night until we figured this out. It would have been nice to have been told given the time of year. The things I’m pointing out are easily rectified and we all would return to the accommodation. Loved that all the rooms were en suite too. The kitchen was well equipped.

  • "All 16 of us had a great stay here."

The location is perfect just a short walk into Bowness or Windermere. All bedrooms have their own ensuite which felt like a real luxury. The seating areas worked well and were very comfortable. Lovely the front room had a Christmas tree too. We cooked a big meal on New Year's Day using both kitchen areas but did struggle a little due to the limited pans available. Other than the pan difficulties the kitchen area was otherwise well equipt. The heating seemed to come on and off at irregular times and some of the radiators in some of the bedrooms failed to get to temperature, so some rooms were a lot colder than others. There was a small roof leak into one of the top floor bathrooms which we reported one evening and the maintenance person came to take a look the very next day. Couldn't fault the service from Sykes. Despite this, it did not spoil our stay and we would more than happily stay here again. A perfect place for a big group.

  • "We were unaware that only one dishwasher was functioning and the one downstairs (which worked) was difficult to load as it was not positioned properly above the washing blade."

The oven in the Butler’s pantry did not maintain its temperature. There was also limited kitchen space to cook for a large party - particularly over the Christmas period. There were no room keys (although these were mentioned in the description) and one child nearly became locked in her room. There was also no key for the Butler’s pantry outside door, which would have been useful. The ground floor lounge never really got properly warm. However, we did have a lovely stay with our family and there was plenty of space (apart from the basement kitchen) for everyone to relax. The house was also quite well equipped for our needs. It was ideally situated between Bowness and Windermere and we were able to walk to most places with all the young children.

  • "Lovely property, 14 of us stayed to celebrate a 70th birthday, plenty of room for us all in the downstairs living kitchen/dining area and lovely big living area on the ground floor."

Well equipped kitchen. All bedrooms en-suite which was ideal. The property is in walking distance to the bars and restaurants in both Windermere and Bowness on Windermere. Good Wi-Fi. Would highly recommend.

  • "Lovely, comfortable house in a great position between Windermere and Bowness."

However, No Wi-Fi!! Contacted letting agency immediately on Saturday morning. This was not resolved. Created a major problem to our stay as Wi-Fi was required for work purposes. Consequently we were unable to use either of the Smart TVs in the lounges. Two dishwashers - neither of which were in working order!! Unable to alter the heating in the upper three floors…bedrooms were cold.

I am very sorry to hear of your disappointment. We did inform you prior to your stay that the wi-fi was being connected on your second day and that we needed to gain access. The heating system is set at 21 degrees. We will check the dishwashers immediately. Property Owner
