  • "The cow corner is a perfect place for a get together with family/friends."

It's a large property with plenty of seating both inside and out. The kitchen is very well equipped. They have thought of everything, even blankets on each sofa. The furnishings are really lovely and stylish. It's very tranquil and homely and none of us wanted to leave.

  • "This is an immaculate cottage and we really enjoyed our short break."

It is roomy, very well equipped with good quality furnishings, and warm. The view from upstairs is fantastic. The owners provided everything needed and even welcomed us with flowers, champagne and milk. Not a criticism, but we found the showers slippery and there was nothing to hold on to - a grab handle would have been useful. The dining chairs being wooden are a bit hard and could do with seat pads. We would definitely come again! Prue

  • "The property was even better than expected."

We had a wonderful Christmas break and would definitely stay again. Spotlessly clean, with beautiful Christmas trees in place on arrival. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil possible. Perfect for visitors who struggle with stairs, due to the downstairs bedrooms and bathroom. We would highly recommend.

  • "This is our third stay at the farm but our first in Cow Corner."

It’s a beautiful barn conversion with everything you need included. Comfortable, luxurious, first class. There’s always a welcome, lovely roses in a vase, milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The location is close to Northallerton, recommend Barkers for a good hearty lunch! Although it’s a country location you’re not far away from places to visit. Highly recommend

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our holiday in Yorkshire. The barn conversion has been tastefully done & has everything you could possibly need. The owners, Neil & Louisa, are wonderful. Thank you!

  • "Best accommodation we have found with amazing space and vey well equipped."

The owners have clearly given this some thought and effort. Amazing view with good outdoor social space. We will certainly look at staying again and may also book Blackthorn Cottage so our whole family can be together.

A superbly clean and well-equipped kitchen & utility room with a few essentials (& goodies!) provided for our stay was much appreciated, thank you. I particularly enjoyed the fresh flowers. The sofas are very comfortable as is the upstairs bedroom which also has long-distance views.

About the location

NORTHALLERTON

Thirsk 9 miles.

Northallerton is a County town and administrative centre of North Yorkshire, located at the foot of a ridge dividing two river basin areas, the Wiske and the Cod Beck, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the edge of the Vale of York, between the Hambleton Hills and the Yorkshire Dales. This thriving town boasts market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when both sides of the High Street are home to stalls selling a wide range of goods and produce, plus on the fourth Wednesday of the month the market is joined by a farmers' market. Despite its modest size, Northallerton has a number of independent and national shops, including Betty’s Tea Rooms, Lewis & Cooper, an outstanding delicatessan and wine merchant, award-winning butcher’s, artisan baker, greengrocers, two department stores, several supermarkets and bookshops. With good rail links to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Durham and York, the activities are not just restricted to the countryside. Situated equidistant between the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, the opportunities for exploration are endless. These include a day at the races at one of the many local courses, including Thirsk, a family trip to the unique Forbidden Corner at Middleham, a trip to a country house such as Newby Hall, Kiplin Hall and Castle Howard, or a round of golf. The restored Victorian resort of Saltburn, plus the pretty beaches and coves of Runswick Bay, Sand's End and Robin Hood's Bay, along with the town of Whitby, are all within one hour's drive away.
