  • "A lovely and well equipped lodge set in peaceful surroundings with beautiful rural views."

Property was spotless and a fantastic welcome basket awaited our arrival, even including dog treats. Owner called in to check all was OK. Beds were very comfortable and towels large and fluffy. Property is ideally situated for trips to the North York moors and coast. Would highly recommend and will absolutely stay again if we return to the area.

The welcome pack on arrival was the best we’ve seen, it was more than we’ve received at other holiday lodges. The walks were amazing and so were the views, this place has so much to offer. Will we return? Of course we will!

  • "We had a great time at the lodge, it was in a perfect location for what we needed."

Quiet and out of the way due to our dogs not liking fireworks. The comfort and cleanliness were great and Jamie was always on hand if there was a problem. The welcome basket was the best we have come across. The time away was topped off with seeing the Aurora Borealis, amazing experience, with the perfect night time weather hardly anylight pollution. Would definitely recommend it thankyou.

  • "We had a great few days in this peaceful location."

The views over the countryside were great and it was a real treat to see the owls come and go at dawn and dusk. Located at the bottom of the farm's track so no traffic other than the seldom coming and goings of the farmers. Jamie was really helpful at the start of our trip and made some great recommendations for trips out (Runswick Bay being one). The property itself was perfectly formed for a family of five (plus dog) and it was so cosy during the Stormy weather. Then heating was quick to warm the property, and the beds were comfy. All in all this property worked perfectly for us which is not always the case in some holiday rentals. Will definitely return if back in the area, as there is much more to explore in this lovely part of the world. The garden is not enclosed as advertised but with no traffic this was not an issue for our little dog.

  • "The location was idyllic."

The lodge clean and comfortable with a very much appreciated welcome basket. The owner popped by to make sure all was well ( which it was). Such a peaceful and tranquil setting was ideal for relaxing for those wanting to get away from it all. Near by was a pub doing a brilliant carvery and an excellent chip shop.Handy for trips to the coast and country walks. I hope we get chance to revisit.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful lodge."

The welcome hamper was a wonderful surprise and enjoyed by us all family of 6. The lodge itself was immaculately clean and the beds were super comfy. The daily visits by the horses was an added bonus and our children loved stroking them. The location was perfect everything just a little drive away. We can't recommend Salt Burn by the sea enough it was beautiful and reasonably priced we went 2 days on the run. Jamie the owner was fantastic and popped in to say hello. We will definitely be booking again, The Kelly family.
