  • "It was just as described."

A lovely quiet village with friendly people. A little village shop and pub opposite, which did excellent food. Comfortable and clean with everything that we needed. Just the two of us and was just right. Easy access to the coast and all resorts. Recommended.

  • "Nice flat but some maintenance needed."

The bedroom blind collapsed with normal use. The fixings are inadequate in that very small screws were used for quite a heavy blind. The plug socket in the single bedroom is insecure and is coming away from the wall. Parking can be a problem.

In response to your feedback. How can a blind 'collapse' that has been there for 3 years with regular use ? The blind had been pulled out of the wall and just thrown in a corner, with all the mess left on the window sill, no apology just an excuse of poor fixings ? Parking is not an issue there is ample unrestricted parking around the property and on the nearby roads. Also we ask guests when they leave to put the key back in the key safe, our cleaning team could not get in as the key had been posted through the letter box. The plug socket has now been repaired and the blind refitted. Property Owner

  • "Lovely, quirky flat in fabulous location."

Spotlessly clean and comfortable. WiFi a little dodgy so couldn't get the TV working but that didn't spoil our stay. Lovely pub over the road, well stocked community shop downstairs and great walks for the dog. Would definitely come back.

About the location

STOKEINTEIGNHEAD

Shaldon 1.7 miles; Newton Abbott 4 miles; Torquay 6 miles.

Stokeinteignhead is a picturesque village nestled in a steep valley near the sea in south Devon. Lined with pretty thatched cottages, the narrow winding village streets house a traditional friendly pub, a community village shop, school and historic church. Nearby, Shaldon is an attractive fishing village nestling at the mouth of the River Teign, a river renowned for its cockles, mussels and salmon. With quaint cottages, individual shops and narrow streets lined with cafes, Shaldon is a place to wander, relax and enjoy life by the sea. The children will love the sandy beaches reached through Smuggler’s Tunnel, and adults and children alike will enjoy the botanical gardens and small zoo, followed by a traditional Devon cream tea. The Ness headland rises proudly above the mouth of the estuary, guarding the waters between Shaldon and the busy Victorian town of Teignmouth, offering some of the most stunning views in the West Country.
