• "Under-floor heating didn't work the radiators only tepid even on maximum number 5"

  The heating system at Louie’s Loft is without fault, only 11 months old and has both gas central heating and electric underfloor heating, making it capable of comfortably heating a property twice its size. It would have been better if instead of contacting Carbis Bay Holidays after you left the property (in an attempt to get a substantial discount), you phoned them when you first arrived so they could have then sent a member of their team to show you how to adjust the heating, even though it is clearly shown in the owners handbook. We are disappointed it spoiled your stay, but this wouldn’t have happened if you had contacted the holiday company in the first place. Kind regards, The Property Owner Property Owner

• "We spent a lovely few days at Louies Loft."

  The apartment was tasteful, comfortable, warm and had everything we needed, not to mention those spectacular sea views! Previous guests have mentioned parking, but there is very reasonable parking at Porthmeor Beach and Island car parks, both within a few minutes walk. The only downside was the fact that the promised access door from the property directly onto the beach has been nailed shut and boarded up for the winter. Sykes Cottages do not mention this in the property spec, and when I queried it, stated they did not know the door is closed and that it is not their responsibility to know! My suggestion of a small goodwill discount for this lack of communication and inconvenience caused was met by Sykes with a flat-out refusal. It rather soured our experience despite the beautiful accommodation. So please do be aware, if the beach access (on this popular surfers beach) is important to you - you.

• "Lovely stay at Louie's Loft."

• "Amazing apartment,stunning views the only issue for me was the parking,we struggled to find 24hr parking probley as a suggestion put a map on your website to show were the car parks are."

  After driving 6-7 hrs you don't want to spend another hr trying to find a parking space.

• "Really enjoyed our 7 night stay in this beautiful property."

  We have stayed in many holiday lets around St Ives and this has to be the BEST location and view we’ve had. The sliding doors and balcony are something very special and it made our holiday to wake up to the sand and sea each morning. The apartment is very small and compact but has everything you could need in terms of comfort. The storage space was very well thought out and apart from long hanging wardrobe space we had everything we needed to put all our belongings away without feeling cluttered. The kitchen is really well equipped with dishwasher, microwave and a good size fridge/freezer. Beds were very comfy-our children especially enjoyed the novelty of bunk beds. My only suggestion would be to have a better hoover- it was ok to pick up bits of grains of sand etc but it didn’t seem to work on the rug in the lounge or the mat at the front door (maybe something a bit more powerful).

• "Gorgeous property!"

  Well equipped with everything we needed , blinds are needed at the front bifold doors for privacy in the evening and balcony furniture would have been nice . Had a lovely stay

• "One of our best St Ives stays!"

  The property has been renovated to a very high standard with all the latest equipment. The block is very quiet and set back from the main road with its own front door. The direct beach access is a god send especially with young children. The best thing - the view from the balcony is amazing and we spent many an evening enjoying the sun set over the bay. Everything was as described and fully equipped for everything you would need. A couple of points to pick up for the owner - whilst the view from the balcony is divine - it can become overly bright and hot in the evenings so some blinds would be a welcome addition. We also found the window didn’t open in the bedroom which made it very stuffy (especially as the kids room has no windows so sleeping areas became very warm). A way of cooling the bedrooms will be v important - it was 15 degrees when we were there and the rooms were hot so in summer this will become uncomfortable. Overall - 5 Stars!! Definitely recommend for a family of 4 and location is unbeatable.
