  • "Oh my. What an amazing cottage - possibly one of the best we have ever stayed in."

Everything you could need. The bathroom, the bed, the hot tub - everything was top notch. Great little base for exploring the local area but you really don't want to leave!

  • "An excellent property equipped with high standard and very clean fittings throughout."

A lot of thought has gone into providing guests with everything they could need for a relaxing time. The location was in a pretty village with no amenities but these are but a short drive away in larger villages. The hosts were available when needed but were not intrusive. It was an ideal location for what I wanted.

Lovely owner, had a welcome basket on arrival which was unexpected but gratefully received. Quiet location just what the doctor ordered for a chilled stay. Hot tub hit the right spot and very comfortable bed. Highly recommend a stay and we will definately be back

  • "Outstanding and fully deserving of its 5 Star rating ."

Angela was lovely and extremely helpful . The welcome hamper and fizz was a lovely touch . The hot tub bath and amazing shower were a delight . It is well equipped with everything you could need but an outside broom would be useful as the garden area is bordered by trees from neighbouring property . Looking forward to a return visit

The layout, decor and cleanliness were first class. Very nice location for visiting local attractions, walks from the cottage itself or just relaxing in the hot tub. We had a great week and totally recommend. Hope to be back soon.

  • "Had an amazing stay, just unpack and relax."

Full use of hot tub from our arrival. Lovely hamper and extras in the cottage, enough tea coffee and milk to start. Beautiful bedding and fluffy towels (even separate towels and robes for the hut tub). USBs on some of the plugs hairdryer and iron in the wardrobe. So comfortable home from home. Very quite location with a lovely pub 20 mins walk away…… perfect. Definitely recommend staying at Mables Cottage.

  • "A wonderful cottage, with everything in top condition."

The bed was huge and so comfortable, and the accommodation had everything we could possibly need - including a wine fridge and a hot tub in the secluded courtyard outside the cottage. Great owners who are happy to chat, but also very good at leaving you to do your own thing without intrusion. They provide a very good range of local information guides which will give inspiration for any number of outings and walks around the area.

  • "Wonderful cottage designed with full rest and relaxation in mind."

Angela has put a lot of love and care into the finish and has produced an outstanding space. The area is quiet and we were left to our own devices, felt like we were miles from anyone. There are decent pubs walking distance, but also full facilities if you wish to cook. The area has plenty to do a short car ride away, but with a hot tub, bath and fire, you can just as easily stay it. We would wholeheartedly recommend and look forward to coming back!
