  • "2nd stay here, Ideal for two with a dog and nice and clean."

Somewhere to park the car near the bungalow. Quiet village, friendly locals, great village shop which does lovely baguettes, pasties and sells everything you want for your stay. Two pubs, one expensive pub and a coffee shop, lots of walks and a bus stop if you don't want to use the car. Already booked for next year.

Property was clean & well equipped, with comfortable beds & a sun-trap of a garden to sit & enjoy a welcome glass or two at the end of busy days spent exploring the local area. We hope to return

  • "We couldn’t fault the property it was excellent."

The only thing was on our last day when leaving the toilet flush was broken so we couldn’t flush the toilet. Also the TV had hardly any channels to watch when it was pouring with rain. Otherwise it was excellent and we would come again

  • "The property is very satisfactory although the bed a bit uncomfortable."

More than enough towels which was a good thing. We think that a draining rack would be useful on the sink drainer which would save on tea towels getting very wet when drying up. We know that you are aware we had problems with the blind but hopefully this issue would have been solved for the next tenants. The garden is lovely but could do with some care. Over all we had a pleasant stay at Cerne View .

A really nice little cottage with all you need in a beautiful village with great pubs, the countryside is stunning and not far from the coast

  • "2nd bedroom bit small with a single bed and only a chest of drawers to store clothes."

Could have done with a chair in the main bedroom to put clothes on as never put clothes away at night when removed, only in the morning. No can opener!!! nowadays most cans are ring pulls but many still aren't. Grass in garden very overgrown. Realise it's 'no mow May' however, could have left a corner of the lawn(?) for insects etc. Would have been useful in description if said there was a slight incline in 2 roads up to the bungalow. We had to use our car rather than walk as husband disabled. Might also be useful to include there is a cut-through to the high street save walking down a lane with no pavement - believe me, not everyone drives slowly even though they should being a marvellous village. Overall our stay was quite comfortable - usual, quite hot with duvet bedding and no alternative but it is what it is and it was clean and very comfy settee! Nicely decorated and would recommend albeit previous statements.

Nice comfortable little bungalow & lovely village. The owners daughter went out of her way for us on the day we lost keys while we were out. After phone call to Sykes she was there in less than an hour with spare keys, so a big thanks. We will stay again

  • "Lovely clean place to stay for two with and an enclosed garden for our small dog and somewhere to park the car which were main things we were looking for."

Very friendly village with pubs, cafe and very well stocked village shop. Lots of walks from property and places to visit by car. Have booked again for next year as we only stayed for a few days and want to see more. Bit confused why we were left dishwasher tablets that were rolled up with dishcloths when there wasn’t a dishwasher (could be a problem if someone put them in the washing machine)?
