  • "The bed and lounge suite were comfortable."

The cleanliness was exceptional. Bedding and towels were also clean. The main bathroom and shower were very modern and plenty of hot water. The view was absolutely amazing from the living room. Kitchen was well equipped. Great that we could park directly outside the property. Property was in a great location and very close to shops and eating places. Also the bottle of wine was a nice gesture and the welcome card. All in all a great place to stay

  • "Fantastic location on the harbour front with a view out to sea with Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands in the distance."

Well equipped and clean and comfortable. We had a problem with the hot water and reported it to the owner. An electrician came out later in the day and fixed the problem.

  • "This is a nice property, perfectly placed in Seahouses."

Near to the town and on the harbour front. So there are great views of the sea. We have had another great week there, already looking forward to our next stay there in September 2024. The last couple of days of are stay was through storm babet. But the views we had of the waves crashing in were fantastic. When the weather is bad it makes you grateful to be in a good property. So thanks Deb for another great week.

  • "This was our third stay at the Watch House and it won’t be our last."

The fantastic wall to wall ( almost !) windows must surely give the best view in Seahouses, the Farnes to the right, the harbour beneath and Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne in the distance, the sunsets are stunning. The house itself is excellent, very comfortable, living room on the first floor to maximise the views and extremely well equipped. We have stayed at a couple of other properties in Seahouses over the last 10 years ( both within 30 seconds walk of the Watch House funnily enough) but this is the only place we would want to stay at when we visit now. Communication and helpfulness by the owners was also first rate !

  • "This was our fourth stay at The Watch House and we have already booked our fifth one for 2024 because we enjoy it so much."

I have one suggestion that would improve the comfort of guests. Please have some curtains or blinds fitted for the lounge window. We were fortunate to enjoy very sunny weather this year, but it made the lounge very hot and it was very difficult to watch television because of the reflected sunlight. Thank you.

  • "Lovely cottage and well equipped for a comfortable stay."

Everything you would need as proper home from home - Just found the recycling a little confusing as the 2 bins outside had all sorts of rubbish in so it wasn't clear what went in what? No idea where glass went so we brought our wine bottles home! Would love to stay again -

Thank you for your feedback, sorry it's taken me till now to reply but I am still working my way round the owners portal. The only place to recycle the glass is in the main car park there's recycling there. Glad you enjoyed your stay and Thank you for booking The Watchhouse Property Owner

  • "Our third (annual) visit to the Watch House."

There have been a few improvements since our first two visits which have only enhanced the Watch House experience further. And now there's wifi! Not that we used it as we were , as always, too busy on the beach with our grand children who love the fact that it is literally on the door step. The view over the harbour , Farnes and Bamburgh castle never gets old...we just hope we can make it back again next year!
