  • "Lovely cottage, especially if you want a quiet holiday."

Everything we needed, including an enclosed garden for our dog. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and the weather was kind.

  • "Spacious and nicely furnished."

Great to have a well equipped kitchen. Lovely modern shower room. Very comfortable bed. A small television in the bedroom would be a nice addition. Enclosed private garden a nice bonus especially as we holiday with our dog.

Thank you Tracy for your feedback and I'm sorry that you marked our property down. In 14 years of providing 5star self catering accommodation we have enjoyed 100% satisfaction for our Stable. As for the decision we made not to put a television in the bedroom this was made following research that found most people, especially on holiday felt that a bedroom was for sleeping, reading and making love... HOWEVER as so many guests that have stayed with us over the past 14 years can confirm, had you asked us for a TV in the bedroom I would have happily provided one especially for you. Property Owner

  • "My daughter and I had a lovely few days staying at the Stable."

It is just perfect, lovely enclosed garden for the dogs, everything you could need or want in the house. All spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, we would definitely return. The owners are very friendly and approachable and went out of their way to make our stay perfect

  • "Truly a hidden gem, a little bit of paradise in the Suffolk countryside and a wonderful escape from the stress of normal life."

We have been returning to the stable over the last few years and each time we can’t get over how lovely it is. David and Kate have made a few changes that had made it even better. The Stable is within easy reach to Framingham, with its quirky shops and of course the Castle on the hill. Southwold and Aldeburgh are an hour away, both are dog friendly and we’ve had some great days there. We can’t wait to come back.

About the location

FRAMLINGHAM

Saxmundham 7.5 miles; Aldeburgh 14 miles; Southwold 20 miles

The beautiful market town of Framlingham is mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086) and has been known since Anglo Saxon times, when it consisted of several manors which William the Conqueror (1066-1087) presented to Roger Bigod. The town is of particular interest as it has a large castle and mere which was built between 1190 and 1210. The town is surrounded by lovely villages to explore and has two of the oldest working post boxes and one of Britain’s smallest houses, with the footprint measuring 6.1x2.2m! Today, the town offers a number of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and it is also home to Framlingham Summer Arts Festival.
