Near the country estate of Horsterwold you will find access to hiking/biking routes through the forest; or you can take a paved road to the village. Flevoland has many hiking / biking routes and is rich in forests. The Horsterwold is the largest hardwood forest in Europe and is located in the district of Zeewolde! The forest is dominated by poplars- unique in the Netherlands! Ferns, various moss species and vines all help to provide this place with an enchanted atmosphere. At the country residence of Horsterwold there is room for everyone. You can mountain bike or just relax among the natural surroundings. Adventurous hikers are drawn to the 'De Stille Kern': a vast wilderness where there are no paths. The beautiful view of the pond (along the garden) serves as an ornament for the whole park, while the surrounding area offers the opportunity for tennis on the open or two 'All-Weather' tennis courts- both free and just two minutes walk away! The swimming pool is open only during the summer season(July 1 until August 31). There is bike rental on the park. In the houses is a wifi connection available.

You can enjoy all the luxury of the Mediterranean without having to visit the French Riviera. Marina De Eemhof is a cosmopolitan resort with luxurious suites overlooking bobbing moored yachts and a boulevard where you can stroll as well as enjoy good food. For boaters (and holidaymakers!) the Eemmeer is practically at your doorstep. Sailing, surfing, kayaking - whatever you want. If you do not have experience in water sports, the instructors will be glad to teach you the intricacies. Park De Eemhof is on the other side of the Marina, with the tropical underwater world of Aqua Mundo, the cafes and restaurants of the Market Square and the lively activities of the Action Factory. As guests of Marina De Eemhof you have unlimited access to it. We have also thought of our guests who need dialysis. In collaboration with Meander Medical Centre, at the complex of Marina de Eemhof there is a Dialysis Center ithat can accommodate 12 dialysis patients per day.
