The property is situated on a working farm, whilst it is peaceful, some tractor noise will be heard during the harvest months, (late August to mid September and occasionally at other times, rarely before 9am and hardly after 10.30pm). Depending on the harvest there may be a need to run a grain dryer fan which can be noisy, however this is a reasonable distance from the cottage and should have no impact on your stay.. To allow the farm crops to establish, occasionally there will be bird scarers in use, typically this will be in late autumn and the spring. The bird scares are not located near the cottage but maybe audible when walking, they do not go off at night. They are blue and orange an located on the edge of a field.. Guests are very welcome to walk both the public footpaths and on our field margins. Dog mess must be cleared up within the grass land where the cattle graze (to prevent Neospora canium). While on the rest of the farmland please clean up after your dog if on the footpaths but otherwise your dogs are welcome to enjoy the freedom of the countryside.. During early Spring the cattle will not be used to humans and it maybe advisable not to walk in the cattle fields with young children. Due to the farm animals, guests are politely requested not to let off any fireworks or Chinese lanterns. Children and dogs are not permitted in the working farm yard.
