The World Heritage Site Durlston Country Park and Castle are local too only a 5-mile drive down the coast. This picturesque semi-detached ivy-covered cottage is well placed in an area of heathland is sea-facing and has beautiful views of the harbour at Poole. The property has a stone roof made from local Purbeck stone and has attractive leaded windows. The cottage dates from the 1920s and was designed by Herbert Collins a renowned British residential architect who was involved with the Garden City Movement. From the front path of the property leading to heathland and a short walk to the beach; to the back garden overlooking farmland and the Purbeck Hills you are surrounded by nature at every point. Upon entering the property the hall has a beautiful quarry tile floor and a storage area for coats. This 18th century characterful cottage is set within a terrace of properties in the village of Kingston. From its hilltop position there are fantastic views over the surrounding countryside and Corfe Castle. The castle itself is one of the area s most popular attractions and is cared for by the National Trust. The village is well worth exploring too as it has quaint streets lined with period cottages tea rooms and a choice of pubs. Heading east you will find the traditional seaside town of Swanage which has something for everyone including a sandy beach and bustling high street. The property is also the ideal base for touring with many of Dorset s most famous landmarks within reach including Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. A path leads to the front door of the end of terraced cottage. Once inside you are met with a charming flagstone hallway with the lounge immediately to your left. This inviting lounge has a wood burner and TV making it the ideal spot to settle down after a day spent exploring. Also from here you can admire the first of many panoramic views from the property. A useful downstairs WC is next door and at the end of the hallway you will find the kitchen.
