This property enjoys a lovely location on one of Appledore s pretty narrow streets just a short walk from the village s attractive quay where visitors can watch the fishing boats returning with the day s catch. Unsurprisingly the speciality of many of the village eateries is the local fresh seafood and those who don t want to cook whilst away will be able to choose from a range of pubs and restaurants. The West Country is known for its beaches and there are two within very easy reach of Appledore one in the neighbouring village of Instow which is just a short ferry ride across the estuary and another much larger beach just a two-mile drive away in Westward Ho! The front-door of this double-fronted property opens directly into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where an imposing brick fireplace with warming wood burner-effect gas fire creates an attractive focal point. There is also a TV/DVD here perfect for cosying up in the evenings after a busy day of sightseeing. A folding table sits in a window overlooking the street and provides a great place for romantic meals or a long lazy brunch. The kitchen area situated at the other end of the room is equipped with an oven hob microwave fridge dishwasher and washing machine. The property s bathroom with a shower over bath is also located on the ground floor of the cottage (please note this bathroom does not contain a WC). This stunning property is one of two set at the end of 0.75 mile private drive which winds its way through the owners 700-acre dairy farm. This wonderful location sets you perfectly for exploring North Devon. You ll be just over a mile from the market town of Bideford while the popular surfing beach of Westward Ho! and the sand dunes of Instow can both be reach within 15 minutes in the car. The charming fishing village of Appledore is well worth a visit too. The area s attractions include The Big Sheep Tapeley Park The Milky way and the traditional cobbled streets of Clovelly. Access the kitchen and lounge/diner via a couple of steps down from the hallway you will find a well-equipped kitchen area with an oven fridge/freezer dishwasher washing machine and microwave.
