The property is located in the lovely village of Polruan which is the ideal bolt hole for your family holidays. Here you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity Polruan has to offer with the two village pubs which both serve food local shops including Crumpets the tearooms bakery post office and a general store the harbour side beaches all within walking distance. Or take the 5-minute passenger ferry from the Quay over the estuary to Fowey which offers a wider range of restaurants independent shops handcrafted jewellery and local art galleries. The car ferry leaves from here giving you easy access further into the West of Cornwall or to the North Coast for some surf. Experience all that Cornwall has to offer such as the twin castles of Pendennis and St Mawes cliff top walks hidden coves and beaches fantastic sailing waters the Screech Owl Sanctuary and Wildlife Park and the many National Trust properties and gardens. This traditional cottage has accommodation spread over three floors. Polruan is an historic village famous for its boat building heritage. Perfectly positioned on the Fowey river estuary which is a thriving centre for fishing seafaring shipbuilding and agriculture. The villages remoteness gives the area an unspoilt charm with its narrow streets better suited to horse and cart then modern day cars flights of slate steps twist between the houses. There are two village pubs and a passenger ferry that takes you across to neighbouring town of Fowey. Further afield there are plenty of places to explore why not visit the tall ships at Charlestown take the brewery tour in St Austell or visit the Eden project or the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Visit Lanhydrock House or take the dog for a run at the trials at Cardinham Woods near Bodmin. This spacious cottage is spread over three levels with two staircases. This charming cottage over three floors is perched conveniently on Quay Hill in an excellent position just on the edge of the beautiful Fowey harbour with the village café 2 pubs and local shop on your door step. Polruan still retains some of its original character as a working village with the traditional boatyard nearby. There are extensive views over the estuary across to Fowey. Polruan is steeped in history and benefits from two village pubs and a passenger ferry that will take you across to Fowey which is known as the centre of sailing. Further afield there are plenty of places to visit and things to do why not visit the tall ships at Charlestown take the brewery tour in St Austell or visit the Eden project. There are also numerous National Trust sites in Cornwall such as Lanhydrock in Bodmin. Upon entering the cosy cottage you will find yourself in the kitchen/dining area fitted with double oven and ceramic hob dishwasher washing machine and a dining table which can seat up to four guests. From the kitchen a feature spiral staircase leads down to a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room chest of drawers two bedside cabinets with reading lights and a wardrobe. Meanwhile on the second floor you can find the lounge with a feature fireplace and plenty of comfy seating. There is a Smart TV however with the impressive views across the quay to Fowey you may find that you don t need it. Conveniently there is a W/C with hand basin also on the second floor. Through an arched doorway from the lounge you will find the second bedroom which has two 3 single beds a chest of drawers and bed side lights. The cottage is located in Polruan a traditional Cornish village set within easy reach of the village shop pub and quay with beach right on your door step. The ideal spot to sit and watch the world go by. Alternatively take the regular passenger ferry over to Fowey with further amenities. Head further afield and visit the National Trust s Lanhydrock House with its extinctive woodland and riverside paths to explore. Other days out in the area include the Eden Project for thrill seekers there why not experience England s longest zip wire? Hangloose Adventures with its Giant Cliff Swing and SkyWire. Take a trip at Bodmin and Wenford railway or get competitive with ten pin bowling at Ozzell Bowl in St Austell. Entering the cottage on the middle floor you are welcomed by the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area which enjoys lovely views over the estuary. After a busy day exploring relax on the sofa watch a film on the Smart TV and DVD and enjoy the crackle of multi fuel burner. Gather around the dining table with seating for four and plan your next day trip. Prepare a feast in the well-equipped kitchen area with electric oven hob microwave dishwasher. There is also a separate utility room just of the kitchen with washing machine tumble dryer and freezer. On the lower ground floor is a twin bedroom which is nautically themed with hand basin. Heading up to the first floor is the king bedroom with wonderful harbour views reading corner with arm chair and a small dining table with seating for two the perfect spot to have breakfast and enjoy the everchanging scenery. Completing the upstairs accommodation is the family bathroom with bath shower and WC. Heading outside the utility room leads to the back door and out onto the small patio area with seating and river views. Due to the location of the cottage along West Street there is NO access to cottage by car. There are 8 steps down to the cottage. A luggage drop off point is approx. 100 yards from the cottage. Set in ancient fishing village of Polruan next to the local tea rooms famous for its boat building heritage and stunning scenery. The village has everything you need including pubs/restaurants shops and a small beach. If you decide to venture further afield the town of Fowey with its shops restaurants and pubs is just a short drive away or you can get there by the passenger ferry from the quay. A staircase leads up to the first floor where the comfortable lounge takes up the whole of this floor giving you lots of room. Here you can cosy up and watch TV. With stunning scenery all around and a short walk down the private track to Lamorna Cove there s beauty to be seen everywhere when staying in this wonderfully located property. Go for a walk along the South West Coast Path to see the county from a whole new perspective or head for one of the nearby beaches for some sand sea and surfing. Sennen and Porthcurno make for fantastic days out or take a short drive to Land s End England s most westerly point. Watch freshly caught fish be brought in at the harbour villages of Newlyn or Mousehole carry on through to Penzance for a range of facilities or go to Marazion and walk the famous causeway to St Michael s Mount. Boasting four bedrooms this superb reverse-level style accommodation has all of its sleeping quarters on the ground floor.
