At the edge of the picturesque Dun-les-Places, this nice house with a private covered terrace and grass garden is a fine place to stay. You are in the heart of the Morvan. Next to the house is a large secluded garden with soft lighting and a nice table. Lovely for long evenings with a nice glass of Bourgogne! You'll find a baker and grocer in Dun, a supermarket in Lormes (18km). The beautiful hilly walking area of the Morvan starts right behind 'your' house, waiting to be discovered. Are you the adventurous type? Then a drive with an all-terrain vehicle is something for you. You can rent one at only 500m from the house. Swimmers will gain from Lac des Settons (17 km). Here is a lovely beach with numerous water sports. Culturally, there is much to experience. We recommend visiting the pilgrimage town of Vézelay (39km) and the picturesque Avallon (36km). In Vezelay you can admire the abbey church Basilique de Vézelay. You'll also discover the many art shops. Avallon is surrounded by fortifications dating from the Middle Ages. You will find many historic buildings, including the church of Saint Lazare. There is a golf course in Vic-sous-Thil (36km).

Next to the pool you'll find a spacious terrace with a pool house that has a hot water shower and a toilet. For fish and nature lovers: semi-detached house situated in a tiny hamlet with only a few dozen inhabitants, situated in the vicinity of Saizy. The house, which was formerly used as stables, was recently renovated and now offers delicious modern comfort. Note the remaining authentic mangers! Restaurant, supermarkt and bakery can be found in Monceaux-le-Comte (2km). The bakery and the butcher come to your home. The magnificent, scattered lakes and rivers in the area are ideal for a day of fishing. Here are a few for you: Lac de Pannecière (30km), Lac des Settons (40km), Lac de Brassy (25km) and Etangs de Vaux et de Baye (17 km). In most lakes, there are also swimming and water sports options. The owner, who lives on the other side of the house, will be glad to provide you with useful tips. A lovely day out by car? Visit one of the nearby towns with their interesting sights. The museum of art and history in Clamecy (21km), the Basilique Ste Madelaine Vezelay (17km) and the museum of Septennat of Chateau-Chinon (34km) are well worth a visit as well.

The Burgundian countryside is filled with little farming hamlets. A little outside of the village Vignol, between Vézelay (17km) and Corbigny (12km), you'll find one of these tiny places. This holiday home is the ground floor of a large villa with a beautiful view over the lake. The spacious garden is private, the children can play here. There is also a ping pong table. On the spacious terrace you can enjoy breakfast (5 minutes drive to the bakery) and also in the evening you can enjoy the sunset during the barbecue. The pool is 25 metres from your front door and you have all the privacy at the pool (no view from the house). You walk via a nice path to the lake (300 m), where you can swim or fish. It is a beautiful, authentic home both inside and out where you really experience the feeling of Burgundian life. The location is also very nice and quiet, amongst the green hills. An extra attraction is the immediate proximity of the famous Lac de Pannecière, which can be seen from the house. Here you can swim and fish. Beyond the lake there is even more natural beauty on offer in the Morvan, as well as history, for example Château-Chinon. And if you are in Burgundy, then you can't miss trying some wine. A wonderful renovated holiday home that has preserved its authentic character is waiting for you here. As soon as you see the natural stone and the shutters on the outside then you really know you're in France. But you also have WiFi and other modern amenities here, so you can stay connected. And as a bonus: an outdoor swimming pool, completely private and even heated. It also has a jet stream, so you can swim laps in place, and a balneo section. It is guaranteed to be open from 1 June to 15 September, though the opening times can be extended when weather permits. This spacious detached house has a unique covered terrace with a panoramic view of the hilly landscape. You can enjoy the summer sun until late in the evening. Or would you rather prefer some shade? This large, attractive holiday home is located in the hamlet La Roche, around 1.5 km from the village of Gâcogne. The Dutch owners did a wonderful job furnishing this old farmhouse, which has a comfortable yet traditional and typically French interior. The back garden features an elevated terrace (same level as the living area of the house), which is the perfect place to enjoy long summer evenings, maybe with a nice BBQ and a glass of Bourgogne wine. Go down the steps to reach the large, grassy garden dotted with fruit trees. The beautiful, green Morvan region is characterised by stunning nature, hills and vistas. Go for a walk and enjoy a picnic in one of the many lovely spots on the lake or in the woods. Hidden among all the green, you'll find some picturesque towns and beautiful castles. Vézelay (39 km) with its Basilique Ste. Madelaine, the castle of Bazoches (26 km) and the towns of Aunay-en-Bazois (31 km), Marrault (38 km) and Thoisy-la-Berchère (49 km) are all well worth a visit. You will have a large garden with garden furniture, loungers and playground equipment at your disposal. During warmer days you can find refreshment in your private swimming pool.
