There are plenty of interesting shops and galleries in the town as well as a good range of restaurants many specialising in the local seafood which is brought in daily by the local fishermen. Guests will find this cottage at the end of a quiet road giving it a lovely secluded feel away from the main buzz of the town and yet still within a short walk of all amenities. This property is located in a traffic-free zone in the harbour town of Brixham one of three towns clustered around the bay of Torbay in South Devon. The town has a proud maritime history and the harbour is still the thriving centre of the town today with fishing vessels tour boats and the Torquay ferry running to and fro. There are number of beaches in the town including the quiet St Mary s Bay the main Breakwater Beach and Shoalstone with its impressive 53-metre tidal pool. For those who want to find out more about the town s heritage there is a wonderfully constructed replica of Sir Francis Drake s ship The Golden Hind moored up at the harbour offering five decks of hands-on exhibits to explore.
