Set in one of Appledore s many pretty pedestrianised streets this lovely cottage allows guests to enjoy lovely views over the water towards the seaside village of Instow from a raised decking area and enclosed patio garden. Spend your days wandering the hidden cobbled streets of Appledore or venture out to explore the seaside village of Clovelly or attractions such as The Big Sheep The Milky Way Dartington Crystal and RHS Rosemoor. There are also a wide range of National Trust properties and gardens within easy reach perfect for a cloudy or rainy afternoon. The sand dunes of Instow are just a short drive away and Westward Ho! is a five-minute drive. At night Appledore offers a wide range of quayside eateries and family pubs all serving good food. The holiday cottage offers two bedrooms on the first floor which are accessed via steep stairs - one spacious double one bunk with river views the second double which also has a TV is on the second floor accessed via another narrow flight of stairs and benefits from estuary views from the velux windows. The family bathroom on the first floor has a shower over bath and WC. Entering the property in to the dining area which has a dining table chairs and a small selection of games for competitive fun. From the dinning area there are two steps in to the lounge which has a TV/DVD to catch up on the best shows and woodburner effect electric fire to relax in front of. If you re staying in rather than going out to eat the well-equipped kitchen one step up from the lounge has an electric oven hob fridge with ice tray coffee machine and microwave. There is also an external basement with a washing machine and freezer. Outside of the cottage there is a small balcony accessed from the lounge from here a set of external steps leads down to an enclosed decked garden with seating and river views and also benefits from undercover seating. Widemouth and Bude are all just a short drive away and the pretty cliff side village of Clovelly with its steep cobbled streets and traditional harbour is also just three miles north of the property. Appledore a seaside village which has a wide range of galleries cafes and shops to explore is close by and is well worth a day trip if you fancy some time away from the beach. For children The Milky Way and The Big Sheep are both on your doorstep and offer excellent facilities whatever the weather. This stylish home away from home has many character features with exposed stonework beams and split levels on the ground floor. There are three bedrooms suitable to sleeping up to six guests with one king-size on the ground floor which is accessed via one step up and has TV/DVD a built-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room with WC. Also on this floor is one twin bedroom accessed via two steps down with a fitted wardrobe TV/DVD and en-suite shower room with WC. Upstairs is a further twin bedroom with a low level doorway exposed A-frame beams TV and a door leading out on to a small decked balcony and steps leading down to the rear garden. The main bathroom which is situated on the ground floor has a shower over bath and WC. This cottage is located in a quiet lane in the Devon village of Woolsery with the local pub/restaurant shop/Post Office (open seven days a week) and Fish and Chip shop a short walk away. Woolsery also has a sports centre where guests can enjoy a game of tennis. For those keen to explore the North Devon coast the South West Coast Path will take the walker through the steep cobbled streets of nearby Clovelly and up onto the cliffs at Morwenstow and Hartland Quay. Other local attractions are a short drive away including RHS Rosemoor Gardens and Dartington Crystal at Torrington Docton Gardens and the Abbey at Hartland the Milky Way adventure park the Gnome Reserve and The Big Sheep.
