Tasteful, recently restored house (partly an old dovecote) with a lovely raised garden in the characteristic village of Saint Julien du Gua. Superb view over the valley. Definitely recommended! Your holiday home is located just before the quiet village of Saint Julien du Gua. Restaurant (open in the summer), bakery, bar/tobacco shop and grocery store are within walking distance, very handy! There is also a (free) tennis court, jeu-de-boules court and playground for children. In the house, you will find authentic elements dating back to the 17th century, such as the bathroom in a cave. This is less suitable for tall people. There are three bedrooms, one of which is suitable for children (children's bedroom). The house is situated on one of the most beautiful (winding) routes of France. The Monte Carlo rally comes through here every year, and often so does the Tour de France. On a normal day, however, this is a quiet road, and little or no traffic comes through. Because the house and the garden are located on a higher part of the hill, you enjoy a lot of privacy, and you have no direct view of the road. To swim, you can go to the Auzène river. You can go by car (3 km) or via a hiking trail into the valley (2 km). Here you can swim and picnic on the rocks. Prefer to go to the pool? Saint Joseph des Bancs has a nice swimming pool. Kayaking is possible at St Sauveur de Montagut (vallée de l'Eyrieux at 17km) or at the Vallon Pont d`Arc (54 km). To soak up some culture, go to Aubenas (30 km) or Privas (20 km), beautiful medieval towns with cobbled streets and a rich historical centre. Do not forget the newest attraction of the Ardeche the caves 'Chauvet' also called the 'Caverne du Pont d'Arc' (40km)!

Renovated apartment on the first floor of a farmhouse; a sunny terrace with a view of the shared swimming pool and the surrounding meadows, vineyards and hills. Don't expect luxury at this house, but a wonderful place in the sunny Ardèche for a relaxing holiday. The recently restored apartment is located on the first floor of a farmhouse. You can access the house through the yard of the farm; there's a staircase with a few stone steps. The entrance of the house is on the right and the owners' entrance a little higher on the left. By means of a couple of steps, you'll reach the spacious living room with seating area, dining table and open kitchen. At the side of the house you'll find a sunny (private) terrace with a view of the surroundings and the shared swimming pool (in consultation with the owners, the pool can also used privately during certain hours). The friendly owners live in the adjacent part of the farmhouse. The terrace only looks out on the back, where the pool is located; it offers a lots of privacy. The farm, which is still active in durable and organic cattle raising and viticulture, is surrounded by green meadows with grazing cows and friendly goats. You can buy local products and organic veal on site, but you can also enjoy the wonderful home-made goat cheese or wine. This also is a good location for tourist outings, because the farmhouse is centrally located and close to many sights in the Ardeche, like the charming village of Mirabel, the medieval town of Vogüé, the Ardeche river and the famous “Chauvet-Pont-D’Arc" cave (recognised by UNESCO as unique in the world and on the World Heritage List since 2014).

Pleasant and cosy holiday home. Relatively small (50 m²) and simply furnished, but entirely detached, on large, green estate in complete tranquility and with specacular views of woody Dorne-valley. The friendly owner and his wife live 50 metres away; they will respect your privacy. However, if you wish, they will give you tips about lovely hikes and nice restaurants. The accomodation is at the end of a dead-end street. You have access to your own garden with playground, table tennis equipment, swings, cosy corner under the vine-covered pergola, garden furniture and barbecue. A bit further on you will find some hens scratching around the meadow: nice for the kids. The interior is neat and cosy and has beautiful paintings made by the owner. Enjoy the tranquility, kids playing, unforgettable views and the hikes straight from the house. Lovely chalet, with all the facilities you could wish for. Located a little higher up the edge of the mountain than the former railway. Because of that there's a wonderful view of the river down in the valley and of the mountains on the other side. A pond has been made by the river where you can swim and fish. Next to and in front of the chalet is a terrace with garden set and BBQ. Another, raised terrace is covered with artificial grass and acts as a lawn with four loungers and two beach chairs. The interior of the house is modern and comfortable. The chalet is located on the edge of Le Cheylard on the former railway line that runs alongside the river. Trains have not used the line for years. The tracks were removed in 1968 to make way for a peaceful little road that is only used by local residents, hikers and cyclists. A variety of hiking and cycle paths start here and run through or past a range of magnificent vistas in the mountainous surroundings. The town of Le Cheylard is where the rivers Eyrieux ( including Gorges) and Dorne meet. In the old, picturesque town centre, saunter through the narrow streets with its old houses by the waterside or visit the Roman church, the Château de la Chèze from the 13th century with its fabulous panorama.

Beautilful holiday home built in 2007 with big private pool. In front of the gite you have a nice covered terrace, outdoor furniture, stone barbecue and a lovely view on the swimmingpool and surrounding fields. The holiday home is located on a shared terrain of approximately 1500 m² and is separated from the other home by two garages (one each) in the middle of the building. This allows for adequate privacy. You'll stay in the house on the left, suitable for six people. The other home is not for rent. The terrain consists of a driveway, a large lawn behind the houses and the lovely enclosed private pool complete with sunbeds and a covered pergola. At approximately 300 m into the hamlet there is a small communal playground and also a jeu-de-boule court. The interior of the house is new and tastefully done. This house is located at the southernmost point of the Ardèche, on the border of the quiet hamlet of Brujas. From here it is only a short ride to the entrance of the famous crevice Gorges de l' Ardèche, which starts close by in Vallon-Pont-d'Arc (13 km). There you can swim, canoe or rent a bike for an adventurous tour with the family.

Another must see in the Ardèche is the Gorges de l'Ardèche (36 km), where you will be treated to the most spectacular views. The Pont d'Arc is sure to be the highlight of your trip. A natural arch with 30 meters height, which was carved by the river. Go hiking in "Bois de Païolive" (13 km), a beautiful combination of forest and limestone cliffs: an impressive piece of nature. Please note: it's easiest to switch off your GPS and call the home owner once you arrive at the town of Les Vans. From Les Vans onwards, you can follow the route "Gravières" (6 km from the holiday home).
